ERIC BITONI
YOUTH AMBASSADOR PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Born and raised in San Antonio, Eric joined The Basketball Embassy in 2018. He first served as a coach within TBE’s Youth Ambassador Program (YAP) serving at-risk and homeless youth, assisting TBE president Chris Dial, in basketball sessions for SAMMinistries, Haven for Hope and SA Youth. In 2019, Eric was promoted to coordinator of the youth ambassador program, organizing, and facilitating youth sessions. Later that year Eric was promoted to YAP director, where he led the expansion of the program to 13 weekly sessions across all partner campuses. Eric has served as a coach in TBE clinics and camps,, and was a part of the cultural exchange group in 2019 that sent players and coaches to Kosovo.
Since 2019, Eric also has served as a volunteer assistant coach for the men's basketball program at Our Lady of the Lake University as a part of Coach Dial’s staff. Primarily, Eric serves as the first assistant coach for the men’s development team, where he is entering his third season. Prior to Our Lady of the Lake University, Eric was the 6th-8th grade head boys basketball coach for the 2018 season at Heritage Academy Charter School in Windcrest, Texas.
Eric has earned his bachelor's degree in kinesiology at Texas A&M University - San Antonio.
